Speech Reflection!

I wrote my speech on how you can own a Guinness World Record. I think I did well on my research and facts I could of improved on speaking more to the audience I'm looking up to them more instead of relying on my cards. I really like this speech by cooper about the weirdest Olympic sports first of all it was a great speech with a loads of interesting research and writing about the topic. He also read it to the audience and you basically all off by heart and was very enthusiastic about his topic.

Hi everyone, welcome to my blog!

On Tuesday we had some really cool artists come in, they taught us how to create cool collages and we got to use some random things like feathers and cotton balls, to create a cool texture/effect on the bird! First of all we got given a bird to paint I made mine with real colours that you might see on a bird. After that we created the background using scraps of unique paper and things like that! The Amazing Ocean

 Hi everyone, welcome to my blog! On Fridays during lockdown we have to work on some

extra activity's around our inquiry. As you can probably tell we are learning about the ocean 

and everything to do with it. The task that I have done in the picture is a canva about everything

that the ocean provides us with! I hope you learn something new.

book called private peaceful by Michael Morpurgo, it is about army/war in the olden 

days. We had to create a Propaganda poster the definition of propaganda is  an organised spreading of often false ideas or the ideas spread in such a way. I hope you like my poster!

Magical Matariki

 Kia Ora everyone,

welcome to my blog. For the past few weeks or so we have been looking at Matariki. We did some art at the start, and now we are doing matariki kites. On June the 2nd was matariki.  Matariki and the Pleiades star cluster, have got many stories attached to them. We looked at two; one about how Ranginui and Papatuanuku were separated by Tāne Mahuta, and how Tāwhirimatea was so angry he ripped out his eyes and threw thunderbolts to the sky, creating the cluster, and another story about 7 sisters making kites, and them going to the sky. Ururangi’s kite was different from the rest, it was rainbow coloured. We have mixed these two stories to create the design of our kites. We had to draw our tiki, colour in in with pastel and then coloured the background with water colour!

We got to go in groups, and use real life measurement skills. Our group chose

The Story Of How James Peaceful died.

 In literacy we have just started a new book called Private Peaceful, In this slide is an animation of how James Peaceful died. In the book there is this boy named Tommo who goes to France to fight in world war 1. But when he was 4 his dad (James) worked somewhere that he chopped down trees. So one day he took Tommo with him to work. This is the story about how James Peaceful died.

 

Marvellous Matariki!

welcome to my blog, over the past few weeks we have been creating/working on our Matariki artwork. We have finally finished it, here it is:

If you want to know how to make this follow these steps:

1- draw out your design on paper ( make sure its backwards because when you print it, it will come out backwards.)

2- Get your piece of foam and draw your design onto that, making sure you press hard enough so that it goes through, but don't get holes in the foam.

3- once your happy with your design you will be able to roll the ink onto it

4- place your foam down and then start rolling your ink onto your desired place, as you can see I chose 2 different colours to blend together 

5- once your done printing on your foam, you will need to push the foam hard onto your piece of paper so that the ink prints onto the paper nicely ( we used A3 paper to print ito onto so that there was space around the outside!)

Hopefully this helped, and I hope you have fun if you ever do this. My favourite part was probably rolling the ink, it was so satisfying! : )

Pixilart Jasmine

 

Hi everyone, this is a pixilart I made of jasmine from Aladdin. The reason I created this is because at Marshland School we are working on our production Aladdin and we have a slide filled with activities Aladdin related, and this was one of them. check the 2nd slide to see what it stands for. Last Wednesday we did an egg challenge where we had to wrap an egg up or do what ever we thought would save it from cracking. Some people even made parachutes, have you ever done something like this?

Genie drawing!

Hey bloggers,  at marshland school we have been working our production Aladdin!

While we weren't practising singing or acting/dancing, we have been working on a slide with a bunch of Aladdin activities. I chose to do a Genie drawing, I followed a tutorial video that explained it very well! Have you ever watched Aladdin, did you like it. Click this link to have a go at drawing the genie!

Crazy Hundertwasser Art

Hey everyone, welcome to my blog. Over the past  few weeks we have been working on a Hundertwasser art. on the second and third page on my slide you can see examples of this art. We had to draw our draft copy of our design on a  piece of paper and then once we were happy with that we got to draw the on a big piece of paper and then go over it with Vivid and colour in  with pastels. Hundertwasser  does not use straight lines and he likes to bring out children's imaginations. Did you know about Hundertwasser before seeing my blog post?

We got to create a brand/business, I made a logo and an advertisement 

all on canva. Whats your favourite type of cookie??

How to keep safe home alone

 

Hi everyone last Wednesday and today we have been working on a safety 

poster using Canva. We read the story about a kid left alone at home and then a man came out of a 

taxi either drunk or sick, we then had to write steps and consequences of keeping safe 

alone at home. Have you ever been left alone at home???

My lovely lego lady

 

Hello everyone, since the start of school we have been working on colouring in

a lego person. I chose to design this top because I love cheetah print. The shorts i'm wearing 

remind me of the ones i got when i tried to take a shortcut down Chonical hill in Hanmer,

 I rolled down the hill got my pants all muddy so i had to get new ones.  Have you seen the lego movie?

My Pepeha

Hello everyone!  in Toroa we have been working on our Pepeha, we first wrote our pepeha 

on a slide and then we transferred it to Spark adobe. Do you know what your mountain and river are.

A pepeha is basically introducing yourself in maori. I hope you enjoy my pepeha.

My favourite memory from camp

Hello my name is Chloe and last week in Toroa we went to camp in Wainui, it was so fun. Today we had to create a DLO about our favourite memory from camp. My favourite activity out of them all was definitely coasteering. We had to climb on rocks and through water, we also had the choice of jumping off the rocks. I jumped off them both it was so fun.
